Trübsee is a lake at 1764m above sea level at the foot of the Titlis, above the village of Engelberg. It is also the name of the intermediate station of the nearby Titlis cable car.

The lake, whose name means "murky lake", is located in the canton of Nidwalden, close to the "border" of Obwalden, to which Engelberg belongs. It is less than 500m from the cable car station of the same name, slightly below.

It is a beautiful destination in itself, but also a welcome stop on the way down from the icy heights of the Titlis. An easy path leads around it, suitable even for families with small children.

Boats are available, but only for rowing. A rather amusing sight when one observes the tourists who try it without ever having rowed in their lives...

On the way back down from the Titlis, we took a short walk there and shot a series of 20 panoramas that will make you want to discover it with your own eyes!
