Noës
Rue du Vieux-Noës (2)The dead-end alley leading up from here is Rue des Nomades, probably named after the days when Noës was not permanently inhabited. Until the early 20th century, the hamlet was a pied-à-terre for the inhabitants of the Val d'Anniviers, who cultivated vines on the slopes of the Rhône and therefore led a nomadic life between the mountains and the plains.
